The Hardin County Community Endowment Foundation (HCCEF) is pleased to announce support of 26 projects in Hardin County totaling $231,019 through The Hardin County Arts & Culture Endowment and the Eleanor & Evelyn Schiller Fund.
Funding for these two accounts has been provided by generous donors in our communities. The Hardin County Arts & Culture Endowment was established in September 2010 with proceeds from the Simon Estes “Roots and Wings” tour donated to the fund plus a sizable donation from Jerry & Sue Welden to continue the endowment. Since then, the fund has been used to bring live entertainment acts to Hardin County. Starting this year, grants were submitted to the HCCEF Affiliate Advisory Board for consideration of the funds.
The Eleanor & Evelyn Schiller Fund was established in November 2016. Eleanor & Evelyn’s purpose is to help non-profits in the Iowa Falls-Alden Community School District communities of Alden, Buckeye and Iowa Falls. Their trust named several area non-profits to receive funding after their passing and the remainder of the trust bestowed to the Hardin County Community Endowment Foundation for future grants.
HCCEF is honored to be the stewards of these charitable dollars for our communities. Congratulations to the organizations receiving grants this year!
