By establishing an endowment, you plant a seed that will grow to benefit Hardin County forever. Endowments are invested over time with the earnings used to make gifts to the designated charities and address community needs. The endowment and all future earnings from the endowment are permanent sources of community capital.
Establishing an endowment makes a difference in the community now and provides a gift that will last forever. Grants will continue to be made in the name of the fund established so charitable wishes are preserved.
To ensure dollars for the future, the Hardin County Community Endowment Foundation recommends an annual 5 percent distribution rate of dollars back to the community.
