Several hundred guests attended the event, which included decadent desserts, wine, cider, and coffee. Singers from the Iowa Falls-Alden High School musical, Mama Mia!, also performed.

Guest speaker Mark Hamilton, who started the foundation with a contribution from his family, was not able to attend, but a recorded address from Hamilton was shown to the audience.

Attendees were able to vote for their favorite county non-profit, and at the end of the evening, the non-profits were selected to receive $1,000 each. Photos were taken of the people whose names were chosen for their non-profit selection.
