Our Grants
The Hardin County Community Endowment Foundation will provide grants to improve the quality of life in Hardin County, Iowa. We want to help develop all our communities into places where people want to live, as well as, to benefit rural areas of the county.
The Foundation supports the spirit of giving throughout Hardin County by providing outstanding support and services to our donors, volunteers, other charitable-focused agencies, grant seekers, and the community.
Helping
Helping people realize their dreams of making a difference and finding the best vehicle to achieve that, by designing and implementing their charitable giving plans.
Facilitating
Facilitating and supporting the works of charitable-focused organizations in Hardin County through strategic grant making.
Stewardship
Acting as stewards for the community by managing donor funds.

Bringing diverse groups together for the common good.

The Hardin County Community Endowment Foundation is committed to enhancing the standard of living in Hardin County, Iowa through the provision of grants. Our objective is to facilitate the transformation of all our communities into desirable places of residence, while also catering to the needs of rural areas within the county.
Schiller Fund
The Schiller Fund was established in 2017 through the generous contributions of Eleanor and Evelyn Schiller. The esteemed ladies identified several areas of focus, including agriculture, arts and culture, community enhancement, and health and human services. The fund is accessible to individuals residing in Iowa Falls, Alden, and Buckeye.
Community Grants and Hardin County Arts and Culture
Since 2004, community foundations in the 84 counties have received $136 million. These funds help build infrastructure, increase tourism, address environmental conservation and bring cultural attractions to the state.
